Why: Supporting small businesses is something that is important to me. I always prefer a local cafe to a big chain restaurant, a small boutique to a big name store, and hidden gems to big showy destinations (with Disney World being the exception...I can't help myself!). Recently, I had something happen in my life that I never expected and it really knocked me down, but in the process of trying to slowly build myself back up, I've found that the little things on this list have helped a lot, giving me goals to help me keep going. This list item was an easy one; it's a coffee shop I drive by every day on my way to work, and while I don't drink coffee, it did have a delicious polar peach smoothie to put a smile on my face on a game day Saturday morning.
